About Colby

Colby Paine is a Client Associate at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Colby provides dedicated client support and service to the Alta Group's clientele, helping them streamline their financial affairs. He fosters strong client relationships, contributing to the smooth operations of his team through dedicated service and duties that include money movement, account maintenance, the resolution of client inquiries and new account onboarding. Clients look to Colby as a welcoming presence who is eager to help them answer questions and reduce the administrative burdens that significant wealth can pose. Colby, in turn, is gratified to make clients' lives easier through his work effort and enthusiasm for tackling new challenges.

Colby joined J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023. A graduate of Bucknell University, he earned his B.A. in Economics with a minor in Geography. He was also a four-year letter winner on the Varsity Water Polo Team, which reached the NCAA Division I Quarterfinals in both 2019 and 2020. Colby holds the FINRA Series 7 securities license and has passed the Securities Industry Essentials® (SIE®) Exam.

Originally from Marin County, Colby now lives in San Francisco. He enjoys surfing, open-water swimming in the Bay, prone paddle board racing and hiking. Colby also loves playing the piano and guitar—especially with others. An avid traveler, he enjoys returning to many Central American countries, including Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama and El Salvador. He is happy to share ideas about those destinations, while adding to his own "must see" list.
