About Thao
Thao Atanasov is a Senior Client Associate at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Thao is an integral part of the client experience at the Alta Group, helping high-net-worth individuals and families enjoy greater ease and efficiency in managing their wealth. Her responsibilities include new account onboarding, money movement, account maintenance, client inquiry resolution and training new Associates on the team's processes and systems. In parallel with these efforts, Thao contributes to the team's investment operations, updating investment model spreadsheets to support the portfolio managers in their analysis and execution.
High striving, Thao looks to bring her best efforts to her work. She is skilled in devising creative approaches to the intricacies of substantial wealth, keeping clients closely apprised of her work on their behalf. Clients look to Thao to design a more efficient pathway to their goals, allowing them to gain precious free time and greater confidence in the direction of their finances.
Thao joined J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023, moving with her team. She began her wealth management career in early 2022 at First Republic Private Wealth Management in San Francisco, where she was a Client Service Associate. Thao's experience also includes tenures with B2Lead, where she was a Marketing Operations Associate, and Impact Consulting, where she was a Management Consultant recognized as an "Impact Future Leader"—a distinction conferred on the top five percent of Consultants. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Thao earned her B.S. in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics and also studied Data Science. She holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and has passed the Securities Industry Essentials® (SIE®) Exam. She is fluent in Vietnamese.
Outside the office, Thao serves as a Mentor with SHECAN, a nonprofit organization that sponsors young women from Cambodia, Liberia, and Guatemala and supports them on their path to leadership by facilitating their college experiences in the U.S.
