About Shelley

Shelley Cairns is a Vice President and Wealth Planner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Drawing on 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Shelley works with individuals, families and business owners as they navigate complex financial decisions. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Shelley takes a client-focused approach to developing thoughtful guidance intended to align with each client's goals and circumstances. She has also earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor® credential, reflecting her work with business owners on exit and succession planning considerations. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® designee, Shelley draws on extensive experience addressing the financial considerations that often accompany divorce and other significant life transitions.

Shelley joined J.P. Morgan in 2025. During the preceding three decades, she held a variety of roles spanning financial planning, advisory services, client administration and branch management at several prominent investment firms. She earned a B.S. in Business Accounting, which provides a strong foundation for the analytical perspective she brings to wealth planning discussions. Shelley maintains California insurance licenses in Life, Health, Annuity and Long-Term Care insurance, as well as FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.

Outside of the office, Shelley volunteers with several local nonprofit organizations focused on improving the lives of animals in the Bay Area. She and her husband are passionate about teaching their children the importance of giving back to the community.
