About Nasser
Nasser Abdulkariem is an Executive Director and Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
As the founder of The ARA Group, Nasser oversees the strategic direction of this eight-person team. He leads the delivery of holistic wealth planning and investment management services to an eclectic group of Silicon Valley executives, whose substantial wealth comprises equity in public companies, as well as ultra-high-net-worth families and professional athletes.
Nasser's mission is to help clients transform their hard work into the meaningful future they envision. Drawing on his years of experience counseling clients to make the most of sophisticated opportunities, he conducts a discovery meeting to assess their goals and guide them through advanced planning scenarios. Nasser's differentiated capabilities derive from a deep understanding of the structure of private, pre-IPO and post-public companies, concentrated equity positions and liquidity events. This background informs his recommendations for investments, retirement planning, executive compensation and estate and legacy considerations.
In a career extending nearly 25 years, Nasser began as a Vice President on the Venture Trading Desk at Banc of America Securities. He then became a Senior Vice President and Senior Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, where he founded the ARA Group. Nasser and the team moved to First Republic Private Wealth Management before transitioning to J.P. Morgan in 2023.
A graduate of San Francisco State University, Nasser earned a B.S. in Accounting while playing NCAA Division II soccer. He also completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business LEAD Business Program.
Nasser is an avid athlete and continues to play soccer, a sport that brings balance to his life. He is active in the local community and coaches the Women's Soccer Team at City College of San Francisco. He also serves as a mentor and business advisor in a community program for youth and professional boxers, watching proudly as some have evolved their skill to Olympic-level performance.
