About Lauren
Lauren West is a Vice President and Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Lauren provides focused attention, strategy and advice to clients of The Soja West Group, helping them resolve the complexities that significant wealth can pose. Thoughtful and thorough in her approach, she is skilled in helping clients pursue their goals with efficiency and resolve, capitalizing on a range of opportunities at their disposal.
Within the team, Lauren manages client portfolios and oversees financial planning, clarifying multiple facets of client wealth and charting a path to pursue each person's objectives. She offers a tax-sensitive approach, staying apprised of the factors that can impact clients' investment, wealth transfer and philanthropic decisions. Lauren also appreciates clients' desire to foster legacies that extend beyond their balance sheets. She looks to clarify the values of wealth creators and their families, cementing a vision that can inspire generations to come.
Lauren applies the knowledge she has gained from more than 15 years of experience in investing and wealth management. Prior to moving to J.P. Morgan Wealth Management with her team in 2023, she spent more than seven years at First Republic Private Wealth Management, where she most recently was a Vice President and Wealth Manager. Earlier in her tenure, Lauren led strategic corporate marketing initiatives for First Republic Private Wealth Management. Her career also includes more than six-and-a-half years with J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, where she was a Private Client Banker. She began her financial services career in 2009 with Keiretsu Forum, a global investment community of accredited private equity investors, venture capitalists and corporate/institutional investors.
Lauren earned her B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Spanish from California Polytechnic State University—San Luis Obispo. Committed to professional excellence, she holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification awarded by the CFP® Board of Standards, Inc., as well as earning the AIF® designation in 2025. Attainment of the AIF® designation demonstrates understanding of the Prudent Practices® and methodology.
Active in her local community, Lauren volunteers with organizations that focus on promoting financial literacy to young adults and school-age children. She serves on the Finance Advisory Board of the Orfalea College of Business at her alma mater. Lauren is also a current member of the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco and a former board member of Financial Women of San Francisco.
Outside of the office, Lauren loves to spend time with her young family exploring the North Bay.
