Mike Nelson is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
As Managing Director of The Reinstein Nelson Team, Mike is a foundation for our steadfast wealth management services. With over two decades of industry experience, he oversees the personalized and disciplined planning process for our diverse high-net-worth clients. He puts clients' needs first while helping to uncover robust opportunities for strengthening their financial lives. To this goal, Mike enjoys working with families to help usher their legacies through many generations while including all members in the discussions. His close relationships with our clients inform his collaborative, caring ability to help them thoughtfully manage and preserve their wealth.
For corporate clients, Mike brings an in-depth understanding of the unique financial priorities they must address. He helps implement and manage 401(k) plans for corporations with an eye on efficiency and acute analysis. He further supports the intricate financial needs of endowments and nonprofits. Through his advisory, Mike aims to help clients unwind complexity and streamline how to help them meet their goals and enhance their specific strategies. He appreciates spending whatever time necessary to make sure he diligently guides clients and simplifies the processes across every iteration of their complex financial needs.
A wealth management professional since 1999, Mike parlayed his talents to J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023. He previously worked at First Republic and Merrill Lynch as a Managing Director and Wealth Manager. He earned the CIMA® designation by the Investments & Wealth InstituteTM at the Wharton School of Business and holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation. Mike also attended TRAU, The Retirement Advisor University at UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education. Outside his prolific career, Mike stays active in his community and enjoys coaching for youth sports, a passion he has supported for over a decade.
