About Mark
Mark Horncastle is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
A member of The Firstman, Horncastle, Cram, Worley Group, Mark serves as the lead on alternative investments for the team's clients. He finds that often in the industry, these asset classes are ignored because of the size and scope of data required to conduct in-depth analysis. However, Mark and the team view alternative investments as a vital component in the wealth management lexicon for high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
Although Mark has significant experience across the broader wealth management landscape, he is considered a subject matter professional in this disparate universe of private equity and hedge fund asset classes. The collective information acquired from long and deep relationships with some of the smartest investment firms and investors of the last twenty-five years has given Mark a nuanced understanding of the timing, rhythm, themes, and differentiated ways to leverage alternative investments in a value-added manner. He relies on the vast research and resources of J.P. Morgan to inform his recommendations.
Mark is a member of the J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Portfolio Manager Program, a select group of Advisors who undergo a screening process to manage discretionary client portfolios and are subject to ongoing quantitative and qualitative reviews to assess their investment strategies.
Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2015, he spent seventeen years in Finance at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette/Credit Suisse. Mark holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management. He earned a B.A. from Trinity College with a major in Political Science.
Mark lives in Fort Lauderdale with his wife, Lorena, and three children, Emma, Audrey, and George.
