About Jay
Jay Rottner is an Executive Director and Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Jay works with corporate executives, affluent individuals, small business owners and foundations, offering a seasoned approach to address their sophisticated scenarios. He incorporates goals-based planning to deliver asset allocation strategies designed to help his clients meet their pre- and post-retirement and income objectives.
As a member of the J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Portfolio Manager Program, Jay is one of a select group of advisors who undergo a screening process to manage discretionary portfolios, and are subject to ongoing quantitative and qualitative reviews to assess each advisor's investment strategy. He constructs bespoke strategies comprising equities and fixed income, adding an allocation to private equity when appropriate to help enhance returns and withstand and benefit from market fluctuations over time.
Jay applies an analytical assessment to customize portfolios that are aligned with each client's risk profile. He also leverages J.P. Morgan's commercial lending platform to help them meet any financing and liquidity needs as they arise.
Jay began working in financial services at a Morgan Stanley predecessor firm and joined J.P. Morgan in 2012. Throughout his career spanning more than three decades, he has manifested disciplined risk management stemming from his extensive fixed income background. He recognizes the important role these assets play in decreasing portfolio volatility, which differentiates him from other advisors.
Jay graduated from the University of Alabama, earning a B.B.A. in Accounting and Finance. He is a former board member of Jewish Home Life and is a middle school baseball coach at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School. Jay and his wife, Ali, live in Sandy Springs and are proud to have successfully launched their two adult children, Brittany and Evan.
