About Jay
Jay Rottner is an Executive Director and Wealth Advisor with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. He constructs and manages customized portfolios for his client base, which includes corporate executives, high-net-worth individuals, small business owners and foundations. Jay employs his extensive fixed income background to balance his clients' investments through a tactical asset allocation approach that combines both fixed income selection and various equity strategies. He mobilizes J.P. Morgan's resources, such as lending capabilities, commercial and investment banking, and alternative assets, to help guide his clients in pursuing their goals. Jay is an advisor in J.P. Morgan Wealth Management's Portfolio Manager Program, a select group of advisors who undergo a screening process to manage discretionary client assets, and are subject to ongoing quantitative and qualitative reviews to assess each advisor's investment strategy. Jay also uses Goals Based Planning for a more holistic and comprehensive approach which helps to determine the client asset allocation and risk profile is in line with their individual retirement goals.
Jay's more than 27years of investment management experience are marked by periods of extreme market volatility, and as a result, he developed a disciplined process to measure his clients' risk tolerance and to position their portfolios to both withstand and benefit from ensuing market fluctuations.
Jay received a BBA from the University of Alabama in 1992. He is active in the community having served on the Board of Directors of the William Bremen Jewish Home. He also volunteers at Northside Youth Organization and is a middle school baseball coach at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School. Jay and his wife Ali live in Sandy Springs and have two adult children Brittany and Evan. Jay enjoys college football, boating, traveling and spending time with his family.
