About John

John Schork is a Vice President and Investment Associate at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Drawing on more than 25 years of experience, John works closely with high-net-worth and ultra-high-networth individuals and families to help them pursue their financial goals more effectively. He has particular depth in portfolio design, customizing his approach to the specific cash-flow needs, time horizons, tax circumstances and risk tolerance of each client.

John is also adept in financial planning, offering a refined level of strategy that supports clients in capitalizing on the opportunities at their disposal. He attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification awarded by the CFP®Board of Standards, Inc.—a designation he has held since 2003. John is also a member of the team's investment committee, where he contributes to the management of its proprietary investment program, which features a long-term track record.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Wealth Management with his team in 2023, John was an Investment Specialist with First Republic Private Wealth Management. He began his wealth management tenure in 1998 at Merrill Lynch after a successful career in the Navy, retiring as a Captain. As a Naval Flight Officer, John accumulated over 4,000 flight hours and 1,000 carrier landings. His decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star and Air Medal. He also commanded an aircraft squadron and naval air station.

John earned his B.S. with Honors from the United States Naval Academy. In 1993, he again graduated with Honors from the United States Naval War College with a Master's in National Security and Strategic Studies.

John resides with his wife Carole in Sammamish, Washington. An accomplished author, he has published nine historical fiction novels.
