About James
James Lawless is a Vice President and Investment Associate at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
A member of The Atwood Group, Jim specializes in delivering holistic wealth management strategies to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. He advises clients in all areas of their balance sheet, with a focus on portfolio construction and complex planning issues. With 15 years of experience centered around independent advice and fiduciary governance, he brings a practiced hand to the process of providing clients transparency and clear direction.
Jim and his team joined J.P. Morgan in 2023 to offer their clients access to the breadth of resources and capabilities of an industry leader. He was previously a Director and Investment Specialist with First Republic Investment Management, after serving as a Senior Director of a Boston-based registered investment advisory (RIA) firm where he built and serviced single-family offices. He began his career as an Analyst at Virtu Financial (formerly Madison Tyler Trading), after which he joined Morgan Stanley, supporting the firm's institutional trading desk.
Jim holds a B.A. from Binghamton University.
