About Robin
Robin Yoshimura is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Robin advises a select group of entrepreneurs, technology executives, family offices and other highnet-worth clients, providing them with sustained focus and a customized approach to their wealth management needs. Active in investing and private banking since 1994, he offers thoughtful analysis of the opportunities that substantial wealth can pose, supporting clients in devising a more direct path to their objectives.
Wealth creators look to Robin for his depth of experience in the equity markets. His areas of focus include tax-sensitive investment management, hedging of concentrated positions and evaluation of—and access to—alternative investments. Robin currently serves on the firm's Investment Management Asset Allocation Committee.
Robin moved to J.P. Morgan Wealth Management with his team in 2023. A nationally recognized wealth management Advisor, he previously served as a Managing Director and Wealth Manager at First Republic Private Wealth Management, where he worked for eight years. His experience also includes tenures with Credit Suisse Private Bank, where he was a Director, as well as Lehman Brothers Private Investment Management, where he was a Senior Vice President. Robin began his investment career with Morgan Stanley as a Principal. Earlier, he spent five years with GE as an Engineer.
A graduate of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Robin earned his M.B.A. in Finance, and his B.S. in Electrical Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst®(CFA®) designation and is a member of the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts.
Robin remains active with his alma mater as a member of the Advisory Council for Kellogg's Asset Management Practicum, where a select group of students invest over $20m of Northwestern's endowment. Previously, he served on the Advisory Board of Northern Lights Ventures, a Seattle-based private equity firm.
Within his community, Robin serves on the board of Boys Hope/Girls Hope of Southern California.
