About Jorge
Jorge Mejia is an Investment Associate with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
As an original member of The G Wealth Management Group, Jorge serves as the face of the team and J.P. Morgan, orchestrating the front line of the client experience. In addition to managing onboarding procedures and delegating inquiries, he oversees all capital market operations, including deal flow communication and trade execution. He also communicates extensively between clients and their external financial support system, such as estate attorneys and accountants.
Jorge has been with J.P. Morgan since 2008, when he transitioned from Bear Stearns, a predecessor firm. At Bear, he covered international clients both on the individual and institutional side of the firm. He started his career on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange as a phone clerk for Deutsche Bank, where he worked for seven years.
Jorge was born in Colombia and moved to the United States when he was 12 years old. He is fluent in Spanish and English. Jorge currently resides in Hoboken with his wife and son. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
