About Sean
Sean Donnelly is a Vice President and Wealth Advisor with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Sean is the co-founder of The Donnelly Wealth Management Group, bringing a process-driven approach to actively invest assets on behalf of individual clients. He blends a big picture approach with attention to the fine details of each relationship to add value across the financial picture.
As a member of the J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Portfolio Manager Program, Sean is one of a select group of Advisors who undergo a screening process to manage discretionary client portfolios and is subject to ongoing quantitative and qualitative review to assess each investment strategy. In addition, he is an integral member of the team's investment committee, delivering strong capabilities in investment management, asset allocation analysis, fixed income, equity research and trade execution.
Sean is a native of New Jersey, where he played lacrosse and hockey at the Delbarton School. His life motto—if you get cut down, grow back stronger— is inspired by this strong foundation. He earned a B.A. in Economics with a minor in entrepreneurial studies at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where he continued his lacrosse career as a Division 1 athlete.
Drawn to financial services as a way to help families make the best use of their assets, Sean's strengths include an insightful understanding of the sophisticated requirements of wealth. Most recently, he was with Morgan Stanley, where he was portfolio manager and financial planning specialist for many years, earning the Pacesetters Award for three consecutive years. Sean joined J.P. Morgan with his team to provide clients with the firm's worldclass platforms and industry reputation.
Sean, his wife, their dog and two cats live in Basking Ridge, NJ, where he indulges his love of golf. He has a family foundation that concentrates on providing grants to schools and hospitals in support of children and children with special needs.
