About Brendan

Brendan McGovern is a Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

With nearly a decade of experience in financial services, Brendan works directly with high-net-worth individuals and families, entrepreneurs, and professionals to develop personalized wealth plans and investment strategies. His approach centers on thoughtful discovery and leveraging J.P. Morgan's proprietary planning technology to model complex scenarios and simulate outcomes, helping clients align their financial decisions with their long-term goals.

Brendan collaborates across the firm's comprehensive ecosystem—including investment management, lending, trust and estate planning, and philanthropic advisory—to deliver integrated strategies focused on both wealth accumulation and preservation. He also plays a key role in the team's fiduciary advisory services for corporate defined contribution plans, overseeing the delivery of customized strategies through J.P. Morgan's DC Consulting Program.

He began his career at Charles Schwab in 2016, where he completed the firm's Financial Consultant Academy, a competitive rotational program designed to prepare professionals for advisory roles. In 2017, he joined J.P. Morgan full-time, drawn by the firm's industry-leading reputation and depth of experience. Brendan holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®).

A graduate of Middlebury College, Brendan earned a B.S. in Political Science with a concentration in Economics and Government while playing NCAA men's ice hockey. He was accepted into J.P. Morgan's prestigious summer internship program during his time in school.

Outside of work, Brendan continues to play ice hockey competitively across New York City and is an avid golfer. He and his wife, Ximena, recently welcomed their daughter, Camila.
