About Brendan
Brendan McGovern is a Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
As a member of The Holland Goodwyn Group, Brendan drives outreach and engagement with high-net-worth individuals and families, entrepreneurs and professionals. He serves as a conduit to the full breadth of products and services available at the firm. In his forward-facing role, Brendan's focus is to bring together the strategies and resources needed to help clients make more informed and confident investment decisions.
Brendan plays an instrumental role in the team's efforts to provide fiduciary advisory services to corporate defined contribution plans. He blends his capabilities and planning background to oversee the robust suite of customized services in J.P. Morgan's Defined Contribution (DC) Consulting Program.
Brendan is a graduate of Middlebury College, where he was recruited to play NCAA Men's College Ice Hockey. He holds a B.S. in Political Science with a focus on Economics and Government. While still in school, Brendan was accepted into J.P. Morgan's prestigious summer internship program.
With almost seven years of financial service experience, Brendan began his career at Charles Schwab to participate in its Financial Consultant Academy, a rotational program that prepares individuals for a career in financial services. In 2017, he returned to J.P. Morgan in a full-time capacity, drawn to the firm's industry-leading reputation and breadth of knowledge and resources.
In his free time, Brendan continues to play ice hockey at a barn-burner level at facilities around New York City. An avid golfer, he enjoys a competitive round with friends. Brendan holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
