About Charles
Charles Radcliffe is a Managing Director and Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Charles brings clients more than 40 years of wideranging experience in investing, wealth management, investment banking and law. Throughout his career, Charles has earned an industry reputation for excellence and a loyal circle of client families.
Charles joined J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023 following 14 years spent at First Republic, where he was a Managing Director and Wealth Manager. While there, he served high-net-worth families and more than a dozen non-profit organizations. Before that, Charles spent 20 years at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where he was a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager.
Charles always had a fondness for business, even early in life. After graduating law school, he began his professional career as an associate in the public finance department of Mudge Rose Guthrie Alexander & Ferdon, where he worked on financings for issuers and investment banks. Later, Charles joined Dean Witter Reynolds, where he was a Vice President in the Corporate Finance department. Following that, he joined Bond Investors Guaranty, a municipal bond insurer, as a Vice President in the new products group.
Throughout his career, Charles has helped families and institutions navigate turbulent and booming markets, and key inflection points in their financial journeys. Today, he builds on his decades of experience to help clients take a rational and realistic approach to their wealth and expectations. He finds it particularly satisfying to help family members with opposing perspectives agree on a financial solution.
A lifetime learner, Charles attributes much of his success to his rigorous academic and industry training. He attended Regis High School, received a B.A. from Boston College, and a J.D. from New York Law School where he graduated magna cum laude. Charles also earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation.
Charles holds a place in his heart for serving others. He has been a member of the investment committee or stewardship committee of numerous non-profit organizations including Audubon New York, Saratoga Hospital and St. Luke's School in New York. Currently, he serves on the Board of Avenues for Justice and the Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine.
Charles resides in Manhattan and is a proud father of two adult children. He is an avid squash player, cyclist and skier.
