About Peter

Peter Brotherton is a Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

As a member of FGF Partners, Peter works closely with clients, helping them delineate their goals, gain clarity over multiple aspects of their finances, and identify underlying efficiencies to pursue their ambitions more effectively.

Within the team, Peter serves as the primary financial planner, offering extensive depth in assembling client input, aggregating multiple variables and modeling possible scenarios. Drawing on his broad base of knowledge, he also oversees fixed-income trading, leads alternative-investment operations, prepares client proposals, runs customized reports and designs tax-sensitive liquidity strategies. Committed to client success, Peter finds great satisfaction in helping clients tackle meaningful issues in their lives and wealth, such as anticipating the timing of their retirement, identifying reliable cash flow to maintain their lifestyles or assessing their ability to undertake a significant purchase.

Peter joined J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023, moving with his team from First Republic Private Wealth Management. Earlier, he was a Vice President with Gideon Strategic Partners, a Registered Investment Advisor based in Santa Monica, where he served for more than four years. Peter began his career at Verve Talent & Literary Agency, where he was an Assistant.

A graduate of Chapman University, Peter earned his B.B.A. in International Business with minors in Economics and French. During his tenure at Chapman, he spent a semester abroad at College International De Cannes. Peter is a graduate of Culver Military Academy in Indiana. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and has successfully completed the Securities Industry Essentials®(SIE®) Exam.

Outside the office, Peter loves to spend time with his girlfriend, Eileen, and their dog, Gus. He enjoys biking to and from work, swimming and playing golf. In his free hours, he also likes to read, watch movies and play video games.
