About Rick
Rick DuPont is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Rick is celebrating his 25th year in wealth management and as many years working alongside Mark Beach. Since launching his career at Merrill Lynch in 2000, Rick has helped clients take a rational and realistic approach to their wealth and expectations.
Results and relationships are important to Rick—and to clients. Over the course of each relationship, he identifies risk in a way that provokes conversation around topics such as concentrated stock strategies, pre-IPO stock strategies, cashflow in retirement, exit planning, legacy planning and liability management.
Rick is well aware of the demands on clients' schedules, which is why he focuses on delivering clear and timely advice and guidance (when and how clients prefer). In addition to his financial skills and stewardship, he reminds clients that part of his job is helping them leave memories, not just money—finding joy along the way without compromising long-term goals they identify as meaningful.
A native Californian, Rick holds a B.S.B.A. from the University of San Francisco and a place in his heart for mountain biking, road biking, car shows, old cars (especially his 1964 Porsche 356) and playing golf. A proud dad of two adult children, Rick spends much of his time at home with his wife, Valentina, chasing after their fast-moving toddler.
