About Ryan R. Jones
Ryan Jones is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
As a co-founder of The Newman Jones Wealth Management Group, Ryan provides enduring guidance and strategic advice to business owners, entrepreneurs, senior executives and multi-generational families, helping them gain greater peace of mind about the direction and deployment of their wealth. He serves as a trusted partner to multiple generations of client families, who look to him and his team for a differentiated level of attentiveness, knowledge and care.
Ryan explains that he and his team surround each family with comprehensive advice, helping them anticipate decision points and take steady action to pursue the future they envision. He serves as a family's financial counselor, advising clients in overcoming the challenges of significant wealth and helping them realize the full potential of each family's legacy. Thorough by nature, Ryan believes strongly in rigorous financial and estate planning, offering a holistic wealth-management approach that looks to uncover possible efficiencies and remedy gaps across the context of a client's financial framework.
Prior to moving to J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023 with his team, Ryan was a Managing Director and Wealth Manager at First Republic Private Wealth Management, where he served for more than 12 years.
Earlier, he spent five years with Wells Fargo Private Bank. He has relationship banking experience dating from 2001. A graduate of Portland State University, Ryan earned his B.S. in Finance cum laude. A lifetime learner, he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and completed his studies in Personal Financial Planning through UCLA. He is also a Certified Investment Management Analyst® and studied at the Wharton School of Business.
Active in his community, Ryan is the Finance Chair for Cornerstone Church and serves on the Board of Directors for NOE International and for Transitional Youth. He has participated in a number of service trips to Morelia, Mexico, where he has worked to enhance educational opportunities for area youth.
Ryan and his wife, Amy, have a son, Hayden, and daughter, Kylie, who keep them busy with their activities and athletic events. He and his family enjoy a variety of outdoor activities. Ryan also savors time on his 31-acre hobby farm and may be willing to share the bounty of his orchard, which features apples, pears, plums and cherries.
