Welcome
At The Newman Jones Wealth Management Group, we appreciate the opportunity to work with a wonderful group of clients, walking with them through key decisions in their lives and wealth. The clients we advise tend to have busy lives, juggling multiple commitments. We help them regain time for their personal and professional priorities, lending clarity, structure and transparency to the management of their wealth.
We are proud to help good people pursue important goals for themselves and the people and causes they value. A close-knit team, we bring integrity and hard work to our efforts, striving to do everything we can to help clients unleash greater promise and impact from their wealth. Clients see us as members of their personal "board of directors," serving as a single source for a wide range of financial needs.
Our founders, Lucas Newman and Ryan Jones, have worked together since 2006, generating a fluency that extends to our interactions with clients and colleagues alike. We are joined by our exceptional colleagues, Caitlin Walker, our Relationship Manager, who has been with our team since 2014, Kaitlyn Winn, our Wealth Advisor, who joined us in 2016, and Courtney Obrist, our Client Associate, who joined us in 2024. Our longevity and continuity as a team yields a natural camaraderie that allows us to bring out the best in each other.
The clients we advise
We serve a limited number of clients by design. The clients who seek our advice typically have complex needs that require sustained attention and deft coordination. Our work is highly customized, reflecting the singularity of each person's circumstances—from tax situation and time horizon to risk tolerance and family wealth dynamics. We invest the time and attention to devise proactive responses to the intricacies of significant wealth.
As a team, we are strong collaborators, sharing information effectively so that we have a timely grasp of our work on each client's behalf. This "institutional memory" is invaluable for long-term continuity.
We have particular depth advising the following clients:
-
Business owners and entrepreneurs look to us for end-to-end assistance, from pre-transaction planning through the sale or transfer of their business to all that follows—creating cash-flow to support their lifestyle needs, establishing an asset allocation, earmarking funds for important goals, and planning next steps— whether launching a new venture or pursuing their personal passions.
-
Senior executives look to us for assistance in diversifying their concentrated positions, enhancing their liquidity, and optimizing their compensation. We also support their retirement planning, helping them assess possible scenarios in the path to a successful exit, as well as their wealth-transfer initiatives to successive generations and lending needs for significant acquisitions.
-
Successful families look to us for a more sophisticated approach to building and transferring wealth across generations. We integrate investing, trust and estate planning services and philanthropic strategies to help families create lasting legacies. At the same time, we support families in pursuing the positive outcomes— and sidestepping possible pitfalls—of significant wealth, working directly with the rising generation to cultivate the habits and mindsets of sound stewardship.
A higher standard of care
The relationships we build are grounded in much more than the technical intricacies of wealth management. We get to know clients deeply—their concerns, professional circumstances, family dynamics and aspirations. That level of comfort, we believe, is critical to our ability to help them—to identify possible efficiencies across the full slate of their finances.
Here are a few of the ways we provide a differentiated level of attentiveness and care:
-
We begin each relationship with an in-depth wealth plan. This document clarifies the framework of client wealth, aligning multiple quantitative and qualitative inputs. By taking the time to discuss each client's situation, we gain the perspective we need to advance client goals. Two of our team members, Ryan Jones and Kaitlyn Winn, hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification—one of the most esteemed credentials in the wealth management industry.
-
We empower people to deploy their wealth to their advantage. Clients often come to us with thorny financial challenges. Our team is skilled in helping them capitalize on their existing wealth, using it strategically to "put the pieces of their puzzle together." Committed to client education, we explain financial concepts clearly, eager to ensure that clients are comfortable about the direction of their financial affairs.
-
We hold ourselves to a very high standard. Integrity is important to us, shaping our lives both inside and outside the office. We find genuine satisfaction in helping clients—making their lives easier, simpler and less stressful. In keeping with those efforts, we look to continuously improve—learning and growing so that we can deliver the best possible experience to the clients we advise.
