"In the 90s, I was in institutional finance at Lehman Brothers. Consequently, colleagues, friends and family would ask me to help with their personal finances. I found that I enjoyed helping them much more than I did the technical aspects of my job at the time. Wealth management made so much sense to me—and still does—in that I can directly make an impact on clients’ lives and lifestyles. I love hearing that a client no longer has to worry about their financial situation."

About Mark

Mark Beach is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Mark joined the firm in 2023 after serving as a Wealth Manager for four years at First Republic, alongside his longtime partner, Rick DuPont. Prior to that, Mark was a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch/Bank of America, which he joined in 1999 from Lehman Brothers.

In each relationship, Mark helps clients and their families explore "facts and feelings" as both are critical to crafting a strategy in synch with their mindsets. He also educates clients on financial concepts and recommendations to the degree they want—"getting into the weeds" when helpful. Mark credits his team's anticipation, coordination and relentless follow-through for ensuring that strategies are executed accurately and in a timely manner.

Ultimately, Mark believes the success of an advisory relationship should be measured by the value it provides—not just to a single client, and not just in the short term—but to their families and enterprises for years to come.

Mark holds a B.S. in Managerial Economics from University of California, Davis. A longtime boxer, Mark supports the Celiac Disease Foundation. He and his wife, Kristin, have identical twin adult sons and two dogs.
