Christopher Foster is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
He serves the sophisticated financial needs of high-net-worth individuals, hedge funds, trading firms, mutual funds and retirement plans. Under his strong influence, the team has built a reputation for their responsiveness and solution-orientation.
Chris draws on a background in capital markets to offer institutional-caliber asset management services that address a wide range of complex financial situations. His work with a diverse array of professional investors has allowed him to tap into a broad base of industry knowledge. With 20 years of financial services experience, Chris has developed a well-diversified capability set. He enjoys helping clients navigate financial markets and provides direct access to the firm's intellectual capital and vast resources.
Before joining J.P. Morgan, Chris was a Vice President in the Private Bank at Credit Suisse. Previously, he worked at Lazard Asset Management, where he helped originate a Global Tactical Asset Allocation model that provided affluent individuals, endowments and foundations with diversification through exchange-traded funds and alpha generators.
He sat on the middle markets' equity sales desk at Credit Suisse First Boston, providing corporate executives and institutional clients with diversification strategies, corporate services and research sales. He began his career at Putnam Investments as a fixed income research analyst while attending graduate school at night.
Chris grew up in Connecticut and went to high school in Paris, France. He received a B.A. from the University of Colorado and an M.B.A. from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Always interested in professional development, Chris is a Certified Investment Management Analyst®. Through this intensive experience, he is steeped in separate account management and portfolio theory.
Now living in Rowayton, Connecticut, Chris and his wife Christina have a son, Christopher Thomas (C.T.), and daughter, Gray. In his free time, Chris enjoys skiing, golf, tennis and sailing.
