About Ryan
Ryan Winger is an Executive Director and Wealth Partner with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Ryan serves a broad range of successful clients including high-net-worth individuals, family offices, endowments and foundations to provide customized strategies designed to help them reach their short- and long-term financial goals.
Ryan brings a hands-on and personal style to gain a thorough understanding of each client's circumstances, which helps guide asset allocation recommendations. He educates clients on investment selections so they understand the rationale for his tailored approaches. Ryan serves institutional hedge funds by facilitating trading activities and leveraging the vast resources within J.P. Morgan to deliver executional excellence. As a core focus, he helps streamline and enhance retirement plan management for 401(k) and other defined contribution plan sponsors.
With more than 20 years of experience in financial services, Ryan began as an intern at major securities firms while simultaneously attending college. He is a graduate from the University of Denver, where he earned dual degrees. Ryan received a B.S. in International Business and a B.A. in Economics. He holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF) designation, which demonstrates his knowledge of and ability to apply fiduciary practices.
Ryan previously held senior positions at Morgan Stanley and Smith Barney, where he gravitated toward fixed income investments. He appreciates the role they play in meeting clients' income needs while balancing risk and reward and he emphasizes this strategy in the portfolios he constructs. Ryan joined J.P. Morgan in 2010 for the opportunity to work at a firm whose open platform afforded him the flexibility to serve the best interests of his clients.
Originally from Tuxedo Park, Ryan now lives in Briarcliff Manor with his wife, Kathleen, and two sons, Riley and Harrison. In his free time, Ryan enjoys golf, tennis, mountain biking and skiing with his family. Involved in his local community, he serves as the Head of Finance and sits on the Board for the Briarcliff Youth Lacrosse League.
